Western Australia Pay rises!
New Industrial Agreement brings Big, BIg Wins for WA Doctors.
It's been a while since I have posted on here but bringing good news is a very satisfying way to return to the keyboard.
September has really brought a fantastic win for medical practitioners in Western Australia.
The Cook Labor Government via the Department of Health concluded negotiations with the AMA (WA).
Members of the Australian Medical Association (WA) voted overwhelmingly to accept the Government’s three-year wage offer, with 86% in favor.
So , what’s in the Agreement for Doctors?
Immediate pay increase!
Doctors will enjoy a 4.75% salary rocket booster straight off the bat, followed by a 3.75% raise in 2025 and a 3% increase in 2026.
These increases apply to consultants, senior medical practitioners, junior doctors and so on.

This further leaves NSW behind in terms of remuneration for consultants.
