The mental health division is Western Australia's largest providing Youth, Adult, Older Adult, Forensic and State-wide services in a variety of settings that include inpatient units within hospitals, community mental health centres, day therapy and outreach programs etc.
The service includes the WA’s only standalone public psychiatric teaching hospital that provides acute care, rehabilitation, treatment and rehabilitation for adults. Here there is a 30 bed forensic unit on the campus. The unit provides mental health inpatient care to people who are in the WA justice system. Services also includes a forensic rehab inpatient unit, community forensic service, prison in-reach, and a camhs forensic service.

Selection criteria
- FRANZCP or equivalent specialist qualifications gained in Ireland, UK, NZ, USA, Canada, South Africa will be highly regarded.
- If trained outside of Australia you must be able to demonstrate 6 months of child & adolescent psychiatry in your training and a minimum of 2.5yrs FTE consultant level experience at time of reading (to satisfy RANZCP criteria).
- Significant and broad experience in forensic psychiatry.
- Excellent management, administrative and analytical abilities.
- Clinical governance experience.
