In this job you will provide clinical leadership, advice, consultation, liaison and support to internal and external stakeholders, other providers and agencies, patients, their families and their carers  throughout the region.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Working within a MDT you will lead the provision of care to child and adolescent patients.
  • Acting as senior liaison to colleagues in other specialties, NGOs, GPs, other providers, hospitals etc.
  • Participating in quality and safety improvement projects.
  • Education and mentoring doctors in training as well as students. 


Selection criteria

 

  • FRANZCP or equivalent specialist training completed in Ireland, UK, USA , Canada, South Africa. If trained in Sri Lanka your application is welcome if you have completed 2 yrs international placement in Oz or NZ as part of your training. 
  • Significant experience in general adult psychiatric settings. 
  • Commitment to working within a MDT framework.
  • Commitment to continuing your professional development education.
  • Experience in tele-health/video conferencing & excellent IT skills. 
  • Willingness to undertake outreach activities.
