6 hospitals, 2 Multi-Purpose Health Services and 3 community health centres that employ more than 2700 staff.

16 intensive care beds for adults and paed patients.

Range of intensive care outreach services.

ICU admits 800 people annually - approx. 60 paeds(managed collaboratively with specialist paediatricians) and 100 elective procedural admissions.

Established leadership team in ICU with very strong relationships across the hospital and health service.

Active education program which supports a case mix which includes trauma, interventional cardio, general surgery, infectious diseases, tropical medicine.
Selection criteria
-
FCICM or equivalent.
-
High level knowledge and skills across a range of intensive care medicine with ability to work independently in a regional ICU.

Experience in caring independently for unwell paediatric patients
-
As team leader in the ICU you will be able to manage processes of assessment, admission, ongoing care, transfers and discharges in a fast moving critical care environment.

First class communication skills.

Adaptable - to quickly fit into a small , high performance team.

Interest in educating and developing junior medical staff including ability to teach under and postgrad levels.

Commitment to best practice clinical governance and quality improvement.
