Up to $477k plus extra allowances

 

  • Up to $460k dependent on years of experience following completion of specialist training.
  • 40hr week.
  • CPD allowance of $28k 

 

Bunbury, Western Australia.

 

This hospital and health service delivers care to a population of approx. 80,000 people in one of the most prosperous coastal regions of Australia. The health campus has 280 beds across two facilities which house a stand alone ICU, expanded emergency medicine and cancer care centre. 

 

In this role you will provide Intensive Care Unit services, including participation in the on call roster. You will ensure compliance with ongoing patient safety programs, focusing on timely assessment and treatment of critically sick/deteriorated patients admitted. You will also be responsible for the provision of sick/deteriorated patients admitted to the ICU. You will also be responsible for the provision of clinical leadership of the unit. 

 

As Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

 

  • provide clinical management of the ICU whilst liaising with other specialties.
  • support all medical and nursing colleagues in the delivery of care.
  • educate, mentor and supervise relevant staff and colleagues.
  • be an enthusiastic advocate for CPD - for yourself and colleagues.
  • leading in respect to the delivery of ICU services within the health service and the ongoing formulation of policy.

 

You will 

  • hold FCICM or equivalent.
  • have first class verbal and written communication skills. 
  • have a personable and collaborative working style. 
  • be experienced within MDT settings.
  • be experienced in clinical governance initiatives and quality improvement activities.
