Responsibilities include but are not limited to
Job scope cuts across clinical work, quality and clinical governance, meeting operational targets and managing budgets, education and training, research, professional development.
Specifically, for example:
- Maintain service maternal fetal medicine standards and procedures.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams.
- Lead, develop and implement MDT training.
- Ensure clinical pathways and early discharge procedures are enabled.
- Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and support a culture of safety and high performance.
- Mentor and supervise junior medical staff, ensuring high standards of clinical practice.
- Support departmental research activities.
Selection criteria includes but is not limited to
- FRANZCOG or equivalent specialist qualifications.
- If trained outside of Australia, applicants with training completed in NZ, Ireland, UK, USA or Canada will be highly regarded.
- Applicants should have sub-specialty certification in Maternal Fetal Medicine (or significant clinical experience in MFM).
- Commitment to excellence in patient care and professional development.
- Experience in and a passion for education, mentoring, and research.
