Consultant Paediatrician – Community Child Health

This Perth child and adolescent service is looking for a dedicated Consultant Paediatrician to join their dynamic Community Child Health team.  This is a unique and exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and their families while you enjoy working in a comprehensive service providing a range of community based early ID and intervention services to kids and families in Perth.

 

As part of the Child Development Service, you'll provide high-quality developmental and medical assessments for children with various needs, working within a multidisciplinary team that includes clinical nurses, psychologists, social workers, and therapists.

 

Job scope includes but is not limited to:

 

  • Using your advanced levels of clinical practice, provide a developmental and medical assessment and management service.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver first class care.
  • Provide a consultation liaison service to fellow professionals in other specialties.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
  • Contribute to the education and training of junior medical staff
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and service improvement initiatives

 

Selection criteria

 

  • FRACP or equivalent ideally with specialist training in Community Child Health.
  • Extensive experience in child development and paediatric care, with expertise in developmental assessments and managing complex cases/
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • A collaborative ethos.
  • Experience in teaching, mentoring, and contributing to research or policy development.
