The Medical Imaging Department delivers a range of services including General Radiography, Computed Tomography, Ultrasound, Intervention, Fluoroscopy, Cardiac Catheter Laboratory, Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Theatre II. The service also includes remote rural reporting for the service's rural health hub sites, including CT services .
Team: 24 radiographers, 4 sonographers, 4 FTE consultants, 1.5 FTE STP funded RANZCR trainees and 2 FTE unaccredited registrars. The site is a RANZCR accredited training site with rotating trainee registrars.
Selection criteria
- FRANZCR or equivalent. Applicants already assessed or in the process of being assessed by RANZCR will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience in all aspects of the specialty including:
*Computed Tomography
*Fluoroscopy
*Magnetic Resonance Imaging
*Mammography
*Ultrasound
*General Radiography
- Demonstrated ability to function as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Extensive experience and ability to deliver high-quality patient care services.
- High-level ability to apply contemporary leadership principles to develop and maintain an effective and motivated team.
- High-level ability to identify and resolve issues using an innovative approach where appropriate.
- Well-developed ability to build and maintain appropriate relationships with team members, clients and stakeholders.
- Experience in clinical supervision and teaching of radiology registrars, junior medical staff, nursing staff and medical students within radiology.
