Package includes base salary, private practice allowance, oncall allowances, $38k professional development allowance and superannuation.

 

This exciting Sydney based job opportunity is within the mental health service of NSW's largest paediatric health service.

Community Outreach 

 

As consultant - staff specialist - psychiatrist

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Collaborative working, actively supporting, and liaising with other health and social professionals, and agencies.

  • Working as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to children and young people with mental health needs, across metropolitan Sydney.
  • Providing senior medical support and guidance to the team
  • Working directly with young people and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external CAMHS mental health providers and hospitals
  • Supporting your peers , mdt colleagues and be an effective team member whilst allowing them to work with their own initiative.

 


Selection criteria

 

  • FRANZCP or equivalent gained in NZ, UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, South Africa.
  • Strong experience in child and adolescent psychiatry , within a community context.
  • Experience in leadership and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team context.
  • High level communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching and education.
  • Commitment to your own professional development.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and clinical excellence. 
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call roster.
